Otherwise — Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Otherwise mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.
1. Description of service
Otherwise is an entertainment and self-reflection app that generates AI-generated, fictional alternate scenarios based on the life events you share.
2. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old. Parental consent may be required for ages 13–16 in certain EU countries.
3. Account responsibility
- You sign in with Apple or email; you are responsible for account security.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide.
4. Prohibited use
- Impersonation or creating an account for someone else
- Illegal, harassing, or harmful content
- Automated access/scraping that could harm infrastructure
5. AI content and disclaimer
Important: All alternate scenario content is AI-generated; it is not prophecy; it is not medical, financial, legal, or psychological advice; it is for entertainment and self-reflection only. Consult a qualified professional for important decisions.
6. Paid features (Pro)
Pro is an auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription billed through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings after purchase. Restore purchases from the in-app plan screen. Price is shown in the App Store for your storefront.
7. Intellectual property
App design, codebase, and brand belong to Otherwise. You retain rights to content you enter; we process it solely to provide the service.
8. Account termination
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations. You may delete your account via Profile → Delete My Account.
9. Limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Governing law
Laws of the Republic of Türkiye; Istanbul courts (mandatory consumer rights reserved).
